My Life In Technicolor

I’m taking a cue from my friend Dan and catching up on all the movies I haven’t seen over break.

Now I’m a huge movie buff, but I’m embarrassed by the films I haven’t seen in my life. And I mean some big ones. So this week I’m gonna try to watch 5-10 of them.

Tonight, I watched Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I don’t know really what to say, other than it is blatantly obvious that it is one of the most important and influential films of all time. Its very abstract and uses techniques that were not only never seen before it, but rarely after. I think I need to let it sit a bit to understand it, but I must say I was blown away.
