My Life In Technicolor

Review: Hot Tub Time Machine
I love the wave of 80’s nostalgia that has seeped its way through into the comedy of today, and Hot Tub Time Machine is the culmination, as it is centered in nothing but dick jokes and 80’s nostalgia.
A group buddy-comedy-adventure like this must have a cast that gels, and thankfully John Cusack, Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, and Clark Duke work wonderfully off each other, while also bring different brands of humor to the film. Corddry is given the best lines as his character is like Stifler and Alan from The Hangover rolled into an older, bitter…er body.
Hot Tub is a lot like The Hangover in many ways as you would expect, but the jokes are a little more raunchier and a little more cliched and the characters aren’t as memorable. However, there are parts in this movie that will have you dying, yet still has enough sentimentality to keep you interested in the story.
