What a day for Philly sports. First, the Eagles put a shellacking on the Panthers. Minutes later, the Phillies finished off Game 1 against the Mets, with a gem from Kyle Kendrick in a fill-in spot (with no-help from Brad Lidge (You can go now)).

Then tonight, Pedro Martinez, one of the top 3 best pitchers of the last 2 decades, showed why he is a first ballot Hall-of-Famer. He threw 8 innings of no-run ball. His 130 pitches were his highest since he was 28 years old.

I think its gonna be a good fall for Philly sports, especially when you add in the expected solid showing of the Flyers and the potential the Sixers have.
