The man behind one of the best defenses of the last decade died today as Eagles Defensive Coordinator Jim Johnson passed away from bone cancer. He was 68.

I’m not a huge Eagles fan, but a big reason was because I don’t like Andy Reid and thought Johnson had proved that he was the reason for their success and should be given his job. Johnson never wanted the spotlight though, deciding to stay on as DC and never making any fuss that seems par for the course in today’s NFL.
