I Told Ya So
You know who I’m talking about.
First 60 games: .322/.380/.678, 22 HR, 59 RBI, 51 R, 44 K in 242 AB.
Last 41 games: .216/.294/.399, 5 HR, 20 RBI, 20 R, 47 K in 153 AB.
I shouldn’t get satisfaction out of this…but I do.

The 2000's: 2001
2001: Favorite Music
2001 is a year that didn’t have many headlines in regards to the music world, but its presence is definitely still felt today. Nu-Metal was dying, while we started to see the seeds of the decade’s alternative music start to be sewn.
Of course September 11th is the overbearing story of that year, but its effect on music wouldn’t really be felt until the...

The 2000's: 2001
2001: Favorite Films
2001 is a rather interesting year to discuss. You have films from many different genres that made splashes on our cultural landscape. From untraditional comedies like The Royal Tenanbaums and Wet Hot American Summer to films challenging more difficult material like Black Hawk Down and Monster’s Ball. Animated films like Shrek and Monster’s Inc. debuted to huge...

The 2000's: 2001
2001: Favorite Moments in Sport
The 2001 World Series already has a leg up on any other sports moment with President Bush throwing out the first pitch, in Yankees Stadium, not even 2 months after the events of September 11th. He threw a perfect strike in front of 100s of millions of people watching on TV. It was exactly what the country needed at the time, and what the Yankees and Diamondbacks...

Continuing the fun from earlier (GET IT!?), here’s a live online performance (well not anymore) they did 2 days ago. Whenever I watch live videos of Nate sing, I’m just so impressed by how little changes from the record to a stage.

Finally. Inception, the new film by Christopher Nolan and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, has a trailer. Its a great teaser trailer; doesn’t give anything away but you get excited about what possibly could be going on here.

On Sunday, the Phillies and the Mets played maybe not the greatest game of the year, but probably the most ridiculous.
The Phillies put up 6 in the first, the first 3 on a Jayson Werth home run after fouling off 7 balls. Werth was in the 3 spot because Baseball Jesus got the day off, and this would factor into the game in a big way later. The next 3 came after 2 outs, the Phils got 2 men on and...

Just brilliant.
Hulu has every episode of Arrested Development. There is no reason for anyone not to have seen this series.

My friend Christopher Sandas, you may remember him from such posts as Coldplay/Lego Video and Pineapple Express Take 2, well he is back with his first ever music video, this time for a song by a local solo artist Jennifer Palladino for the song Tip of Your Tounge. Check it out!
P.S. Catch a cameo from MLIT writer Cameron Baker in the video!

I wanted to wait until after I see the 15 minutes of footage later today, but I will post the trailer to James Cameron’s Avatar now, and watch it later lol.

Have The Lotion and Handgun Ready.

After the success of The Wrestler, it’s been easier for Darren Aronofsky to get Black Swan greenlit. Carson Reeves read the script and posted a review:
Can I just tell you why none of my review matters? Can I just tell you why my review is absolutely pointless?
Because in this movie, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis have sex.
Yeah. You read that right. And not just nice sweet...

A Few Baseball Notes
2009 will go down as one of the craziest years in baseball in the past decade. Slightly above average teams are playing way above their heads, teams that looked decent on paper are terrible, and some of the best players of the decade are having their best years. Let’s get into some of these stories.
MVP, Who Ya God?
What Joe Mauer has done this year is unprecedented. Never has a catcher...
Researchers and algorithm workers at Netflix have found that they are unable to...

If you put Olivia Wilde and Zach Galifianakis in a video, I will post it. I think Ben Stiller is one, but I can’t figure out the other singer. Can anyone figure out who is singing? Scratch that it’s the writers of the video. They have good voices and a canny knack at looking and sounding like Ben Stiller lol.

Here’s the new trailer for a new film coming out called, Legion, starring Paul Bettany and Dennis Quaid. I’ll break this down simply.
God is fed up with humanity so he sends down all of his angels to reign down the apocalypse. However, the archangel Michael defies God and tries to protect the only thing that can save humanity, the second coming of Christ (!)
Let that sit with you for...

Hey, do you like Transformers? Have you ever thought they were kinda sexy? (I’m lookin at you Jake.)
Well than I have the answer to your prayers. RoboGeisha makes Transformers out of Japanese “entertainers” in a sexy, metallic spin on the concept.
I don’t know where to begin with the list of what I love most about this trailer. Gun to my head, I have to go with the voice...

Iron Man 2 Leaked Footage
No better way to describe it, so here’s the pot via Film Drunk. Needless to say, I’m pumped for just the first trailer.
Here’s the Iron Man 2 footage screened at Comic Con the other week, shot on glorious buttcam. If you can actually understand the dialog you have better headphones than I, but from what I can tell, it starts with Robert Downey asking if he can join Nick Fury-Samuel...
